Port Angeles is known as the perfect place for hiking, whale-watching, shopping, and more; but they might also end up being known as the Best Town in America.
Washington residents and visitors have been hard at work voting for Port Angeles to claim the title in Outdoor Magazine‘s annual contest.
The small port city is in the final four up against Bar Harbor, Maine; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Luckily for Port Angeles, the town has numerous things in its favor such as delicious food, outdoor activities like kayaking and fishing, gift shops and bookstores.
The town is just a short Ferry ride away from Victoria, and it’s surrounded by a 360 degree view of water and mountains which keeps tourists coming back for day trips and over night stays in classic bed and breakfast establishments.
